Earlier this morning, Lucas and Heather beat the foot traffic on the trail to hit a waterfall for their engagements. Technically, they didn’t hit the waterfall, but the waterfall did splash enough to compete with the constant PNW drizzle. I’m so glad that they chose this location for their photos. Waterfalls have a special mark on their relationship; Lucas proposed at Snoqualmie, and they plan on moving to Virginia after they get married, which, as they’ve already discovered, has it’s own wealth of falls. Although it rained, or, more affectionally referred to by Heather, as, “The sky’s way of spitting on us,” these two had the best attitude and punched this shoot in the face. Lucas flew in last night, their wedding is less than a week away, and even with the weather stacked against us, they made it work in their favor. Lucas and Heather, thank you for a beautiful hike this morning, and for choosing me as your photographer! I look forward to your wedding!
